Invite Team Members to Active Chats

Bringing a teammate into an already active conversation allows your team to brainstorm together while keeping your AI agent directly in the loop.

How to Add a Team Member to Your Chat

You can bring a colleague into your current conversation thread using one of two methods:

  • The Dropdown Menu: Click the three vertical dots (...) located in the top-right corner of your active chat window and select Add Member.

  • The "@" Mention: Simply type @ followed by your team member's name directly into the message box at the bottom of the screen (e.g., @Alex). The system will automatically invite them to join the thread.

Shared Memory and Unified Context

The moment a colleague joins your active chat, the conversation upgrades into a collaboration hub with a localized, shared memory space:

  • No Re-Uploading Necessary: Any spreadsheets, PDFs, or contract notes you uploaded before they joined remain fully processed. Your teammate can instantly view the chat history, read the agent's previous outputs, and build on top of your existing work.

  • Live Multi-Agent Access: If your team member needs a different specialist (like bringing Ava into a chat you started with Rachel), they can pull them in seamlessly without starting over.

The Tagging Rule

Once a conversation transitions into a Collab Chat, the way you interact with your AI agent changes slightly to prevent clutter:

The Rule: You must now explicitly tag an AI worker (e.g., @Rachel or @Ava) whenever you want them to respond.

Because multiple humans are now talking in the same thread, explicit tagging ensures the AI agent knows exactly when to step in and execute a background task versus when to quietly step back and let human colleagues converse freely.
